Job summary

Carvana is hiring for a full-time safety and security position at our Charlotte site. This boots-on-the-ground role covers gate leadership, vehicle movement, and incident monitoring while maintaining a safe, open facility 24/7.

Expect hands-on duties at the gate, on the lot, and in the Inspection Center, with training in first aid and emergency procedures. You’ll work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment requiring clear communication, quick decision-making, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and connect with people quickly.
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to handle conflict in a positive, productive way.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Monitor live cameras and investigate intrusion alerts using the Unified Security Platform.
• Run safety audits and enforce ingress/egress procedures at the gate.
• Conduct vehicle scanning and movement documentation at the Inspection Center entrance/exit.
• Assist with basic safety protocols, first aid, CPR, and AED when needed.
