Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the Safety Manager in enforcing procedures at design/build HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection sites. You will help regulate safety activities and coordinate construction safety across divisions.

You will drive training, implement tailgate meetings, and maintain records while collaborating with field teams to raise safety standards and prevent incidents.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager in enforcing safety procedures on sites and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Help implement the Corporate Safety Award Program.
• Distribute certification cards for industrial equipment training and maintain records.
• Report and manage company vehicle claims; assist in workers' compensation reporting.
• Update MSDS manual and assemble safety manuals for distribution.
• Support tailgate safety meetings and maintain signed forms.
• Contribute to training, coaching, and mentoring of safety staff.
