Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a safety-focused professional to assist the Safety Manager in enforcing safety procedures across HVAC, plumbing and fire protection projects. You will help coordinate the division's safety activities and ensure compliance with OSHA standards on site.

You will take initiative to implement safety programs, train less experienced personnel, and collaborate with field teams to foster a culture of safety.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated passion for safety in construction environments.
• Ability to implement safety programs and protocols.
• Willingness to train, coach and mentor others.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build trust on site.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all project-site tasks follow safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Assist in implementing and distributing safety tailgate meetings.
• Maintain records for MSDS, training certifications, and safety documents.
• Report and assist with workers' compensation claims and vehicle claims.
• Support safety program development and corporate safety initiatives.
