Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a dedicated safety professional to support the Safety Manager in enforcing all safety procedures across our design/build HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection projects.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliant site safety, coordinating training, administering certification records, and assisting in workers' compensation reporting. A collaborative, proactive approach to field safety is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have passion for safety and proactive mindset.
• Ability to train and mentor others in safety practices.
• Strong collaboration with field teams to improve safety outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all tasks on project sites are performed safely per company policies and OSHA standards.
• Help implement the Corporate Safety Award Program.
• Distribute certification cards for industrial equipment training and maintain training records.
• Report and manage all company vehicle claims.
• Assist in reporting workers compensation claims.
• Update MSDS manual and assemble safety manuals for distribution.
• Distribute safety tailgate meeting notes and maintain records of tailgate forms.
