Job summary

Southland Industries Inc. seeks a safety-focused professional to assist the Safety Manager in enforcing procedures across Design/Build HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection fields.

The role emphasizes coordinating and enhancing all division safety activities and construction processes. You will help implement and monitor safety programs, maintain training records, and support a culture of safe work practices across project sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure site tasks are performed safely per company policies and OSHA standards.
• Help implement the Corporate Safety Award Program.
• Distribute certification cards for training and maintain training records.
• Report and manage all company vehicle claims.
• Assist in reporting workers' compensation claims.
• Update MSDS manuals and safety documentation.
• Assemble safety manuals for distribution and tailgate meetings.
• Maintain records of signed tailgate meeting forms.
