Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a safety professional to support the Safety Manager in enforcing safety procedures across design/build HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection projects. The role focuses on improving on-site safety, record-keeping, and program administration to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.

You will train and mentor field teams, coordinate tailgate meetings, and help maintain MSDS resources while supporting company safety initiatives and ongoing development within a dynamic

Responsibilities

• Ensure tasks on project sites are performed safely per company policies and OSHA standards.
• Help implement the Corporate Safety Award Program.
• Distribute certification cards for industrial equipment training and maintain records.
• Report and manage company vehicle claims and workers' compensation claims.
• Update MSDS manuals and assemble safety manuals for distribution.
• Assist in tailgate safety meetings and maintain records of signed forms.
