Job summary

Grainger is seeking a Route Inventory Specialist to service multiple customer locations around Peoria, IL. You will manage inventory through the KeepStock program, stock orders at customer sites, and ensure accurate route execution using routing software.

You will resolve customer issues, engage clients for additional product needs, and support MRO inventory-management solutions while maintaining safety compliance and route guides.

Responsibilities

• Service multiple customer locations along a designated Peoria route.
• Manage customer inventory through the KeepStock program.
• Receive and stock purchased products at customer locations.
• Scan inventory and maintain product stocking levels as inventory is depleted.
• Resolve customer problems promptly to retain and promote customer loyalty.
• Follow routes defined by routing software tools and maintain route guides.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in productivity, process, and cycle time.
• Comply with customer-facility safety and inspection requirements.
• Engage customers to identify additional product needs and help create new orders.
• Probe for customer needs and work with sales partners to expand Grainger offerings.
• Support customers with MRO inventory-management solutions.
