Job summary

Grainger is seeking a Route Sales Specialist to service multiple customer locations along the American Falls route. You will receive and stock products, monitor stock levels, and create orders to meet customer demand.

You will resolve issues, engage customers to identify additional product needs, and partner with sales to expand Grainger's MRO solutions while driving inventory management initiatives like KeepStock. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and be capable of lifting 25–60 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in selling or service environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 25 to 60lbs and/or work in difficult positions
• Collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle different technical and operational issues
• Valid driver's license in State of residence, maintained throughout employment
• Required levels of automobile insurance

Responsibilities

• Service multiple customer locations on the route.
• Receive and stock purchased product in designated locations.
• Ensure stocking levels by scanning for ordering purposes as inventory is depleted
• Resolve customer problems promptly to retain and promote customer loyalty
• Follow designated route defined by routing software tools and maintain route guides
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in productivity, process, and cycle time
• Comply with facility safety and inspection requirements
• Help create new orders by engaging customers to identify additional product needs
• Probe for customer needs during each site visit
• Work with sales partners to expand Grainger offerings
• Support assigned customers by managing inventory and providing outstanding customer service
• Drive account growth through customers' inventory management (KeepStock) program
• Work with partners to implement sales strategy and help customers understand Grainger's MRO solutions
