Job summary

Grainger is hiring an Onsite Services Route Specialist in Peoria, IL. The role focuses on servicing multiple customer locations, stocking inventory, and providing outstanding customer service to support Grainger’s KeepStock program.

You will follow routes, engage with customers to identify needs, and collaborate with sales partners to expand Grainger offerings while ensuring safety compliance at each site.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or account management.
• Ability to manage inventory and stock using scanning systems.
• Willingness to travel to multiple customer locations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Service multiple customer locations.
• Receive and stock purchased product in designated customer locations, ensure stocking levels by scanning for ordering purposes as inventory is depleted.
• Resolve customer problems promptly to retain and promote customer loyalty.
• Follow designated route defined by routing software tools and maintain route guides.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in productivity, process, and cycle time.
• Comply with safety and inspection requirements of the facility where the service is being provided.
• Help create new orders by engaging with customers to identify additional product needs
• Probes for customer needs during each site visit and works with sales partners to expand Grainger offerings
