Job summary

Grainger in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a route service professional to service multiple customer locations and manage on-site inventory. You will receive and stock products, maintain stocking levels, and resolve customer issues to promote loyalty.

Using routing software, you will follow defined routes, identify productivity improvements, ensure safety compliance, and collaborate with sales to expand Grainger's MRO solutions and drive account growth through KeepStock.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in selling or service environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 25 to 60lbs and/or work in difficult positions
• Collaboration and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle different technical and operational issues
• Valid driver's license in State of residence
• Must carry required levels of automobile insurance

Responsibilities

• Service multiple customer locations
• Receive and stock purchased product in designated customer locations
• Ensure product stocking levels by scanning for ordering purposes as inventory is depleted
• Resolve customer problems promptly to retain and promote customer loyalty
• Follow designated route defined by routing software tools and maintain route guides
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in productivity, process, and cycle time
• Comply with safety and inspection requirements of the facility where the service is being provided
• Help create new orders by engaging with customers to identify additional product needs
• Probe for customer need during each site visit and work with sales partners to expand Grainger offerings
• Manage customer inventory and provide outstanding customer service
• Drive account growth through customers' inventory management (KeepStock) program
• Work with partners to implement sales strategy and help customers understand Grainger's MRO solutions
