Job summary

MRO’s ROI Specialist provides on-site support at client sites for release of information requests. Based in Dyer, IN, the role involves reviewing requests, extracting pertinent records, and logging activities in the ROI On-Line system.

The position emphasizes data entry, HIPAA compliance, customer interactions via phone and in-person, and adherence to site policies. Prior ROI/HIM experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• One or more years experience entering data into computer systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Dependability.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• Experience in ROI in physician offices/HIM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review requestor information to determine records to release per HIPAA.
• Answer phone calls concerning ROI issues.
• Assist walk-in customers and log information into ROI On-Line database.
• Process physician office requests and fax information as needed.
• Log and scan medical record requests into ROI On-Line database.
• Comply with site policies and regulations.
• Handle and record cash payments for requests where applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.
