Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Program Manager I to supervise efforts and design plans per contract and budget. You will coordinate resources, manage outreach, and lead community partner collaborations to help participants achieve their goals.

A Bachelor’s in Social Work or related field is preferred, with 3+ years in program management and 2+ years in staff supervision; fingerprint clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related discipline, or a combination of education and experience (4 years).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Social Services program management, coordination or supervision.
• Minimum 2 years of direct staff management experience.
• Must pass fingerprint clearance and background checks.
• Experience with HMIS and other databases is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee intake, assessments, service planning, and goal attainment to meet contract objectives.
• Provide training, supervision, and problem-solving for challenging cases.
• Ensure grant objectives are met and documentation complies with guidelines.
• Coordinate outreach with community partners and landlords to support participants.
• Monitor program compliance and maintain documentation of services delivered.
• Communicate progress and project expectations to the Division Director.
