Job summary

Red Envelope Consulting is seeking an on-site Payroll Generalist and Benefits Administrator to support recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and HR policy across the organization. You will collaborate with leadership to ensure compliant, efficient HR operations and a positive workplace culture.

The role requires 3+ years in HR, strong payroll and benefits experience, and proficiency with HRIS/payroll systems (Paylocity).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience including payroll and benefits.
• Experience with Paylocity HRIS and payroll systems; HR certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer day-to-day HR operations and employee support activities.
• Coordinate full-cycle recruitment: postings, screening, interviews, references.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation; ensure required employment documentation.
• Maintain employee files and HR records per policy and legal requirements.
• Administer benefits programs, enrollments, changes, terminations, inquiries.
• Process weekly payroll and maintain accurate data in HR/payroll systems.
• Review missed punches and correct data for accurate payroll processing.
• Advise managers and employees on policies, procedures, benefits, and HR matters.
• Support employee relations, investigations, and policy interpretation.
• Coordinate performance management, evaluations, and development.
• Monitor compliance with federal/state/local employment laws.
• Manage leave programs: FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers’ comp.
• Support training and professional development initiatives.
• Assist compensation, job descriptions, and salary benchmarking.
• Prepare HR reports, metrics, and analytics for decision-making.
• Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
• Assist HR policy implementation and internal communications.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Participate in special projects and continuous HR improvements.
