Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder, is hiring a Patient Service Representative for the on-site, full-time Broomall, PA office. You will greet patients, verify insurance, schedule, collect payments, and maintain a compliant front-office environment.

The role emphasizes concise communication, HIPAA compliance, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach within a growing orthopedic care network.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of patient registration or front office experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Experience with insurance rules and regulations, medical terminology, and EMR systems (Allscripts Pro Suite a plus).
• Experience collecting payments and explaining financial responsibilities to patients.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and office safety protocols.
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge patients; inform staff of arrivals.
• Answer calls promptly and courteously; provide information or direct inquiries.
• Instruct patients to complete medical history and forms; review account details.
• Obtain demographic and insurance information; ensure documentation and authorizations.
• Identify and collect co-pays, co-insurances, and balances; establish payment plans.
