Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking Patient Care Coordinators to support NIH clinical and research programs. You will coordinate patient-facing and administrative activities to ensure a smooth patient experience while supporting NIH program objectives.

These full-time, on-site positions are based on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD or Baltimore, MD. The role requires a degree and 1+ year of experience in patient coordination or healthcare administration.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and at least 1 year of patient coordination/healthcare admin experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient‑centered approach.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Familiarity with healthcare workflows, referrals, or care management processes; HIPAA knowledge.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHRs) or similar data systems.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient-related activities to support efficient, high‑quality care delivery.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, clinical staff, and administrative teams.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, follow-ups, and care coordination tasks.
• Support patient intake processes, documentation, and record maintenance.
• Help ensure patients receive timely information and support throughout their care journey.
• Track patient interactions and care activities in established systems.
