Job summary

Guidehouse seeks Patient Care Coordinators to support NIH clinical and research programs. Based on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD or Baltimore, MD, the role focuses on coordinating patient-facing and administrative activities to ensure a high-quality patient experience and alignment with NIH objectives.

Responsibilities include scheduling, referrals, follow-ups, and care coordination, plus maintaining records and ensuring privacy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in patient coordination, healthcare administration, and/or clinical support roles.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with healthcare workflows, referrals, or care management processes.
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHRs) or similar data systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient-related activities to support efficient and high-quality care delivery.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, clinical staff, and administrative teams.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, follow-ups, and care coordination activities.
• Support patient intake processes, documentation, and record maintenance.
• Help ensure patients receive timely information and support throughout their care journey.
• Track patient interactions and care coordination activities using established systems.
• Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and compliance requirements.
