Job summary

Responsibilities

• Obtain, confirm, and enter demographic, financial, and clinical information for financial clearance.
• Orient, train, evaluate, and monitor registration staff.
• Ensure staff adhere to policies and procedures.
• Plan, organize, and schedule to handle daily volumes.
• Communicate patient flow issues to management.
• Verify demographic and insurance information; edit as needed.
• Explain consent for treatment and HIPAA to patients.
• Initiate performance management for ongoing issues.
• Collect outstanding balances; run end-of-day reports; ensure funds are deposited.
• Identify process improvements to enhance registration efficiency.
• Establish and assess internal controls; ensure policy compliance.
