Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye and vision examinations for adult and pediatric residents.
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions and prescribe lenses/treatments as indicated.
• Adapt technique for residents with disabilities in a secure facility.
• Coordinate with facility staff on resident eye-care plans in real time.
• Provide written findings and recommendations to facility staff the same day.
• Refer to ophthalmology when clinically indicated and document reasons.
