Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors and deliver exceptional patient care on-site in Utah. You’ll conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, manage scheduling, and help maintain accurate EHR documentation.

Ideal candidates have experience evaluating patients, familiarity with eye‑care terminology, and hold certs such as CPO, CPOA, or CPOT. Full-time position with benefits, on-site work, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certifications CPO, CPOA or CPOT.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist, such as dilation, topical medications, and diagnostic testing.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks; manage doctor’s appointment schedule.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR, ensuring HIPAA-compliant documentation; handle related paperwork.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment; coordinate referrals as needed.
• May perform duties like scribing for the Optometrist or assisting with refractions.
