Job summary

AEG in Houston seeks an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, ensure proper measurements, and dispense lenses with high accuracy.

Role requires strong customer service, knowledge of insurance, and the ability to use tools like pupilometers and lensometers. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits and growth opportunities within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit prescription and lifestyle.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and lens dispensing.
• Educate patients on care, warranties, and insurance coverage.
• Enter prescription information into EHR/ALE system and update order status.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure product quality with keen attention to detail.
