Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care on-site in Texas. You will assist patients with frame selection, lens dispensing, and measurements, while ensuring accurate prescriptions and a superior customer experience.

The role requires strong communication and sales skills, ABO/NCLE is a plus, and HIPAA experience is valued. On-site duties include adjusting eyewear, educating patients on care and insurance, and collaborating with technicians

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories.
• Explain frames, lenses, and coatings aligned with lifestyle and prescription.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE and ensure documentation.
• Perform eyewear adjustments, fittings, and repairs for comfort and vision.
• Educate patients on lens care, warranty, and insurance benefits.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance coverage, copays, and authorizations.
