Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure accurate measurements, and dispense eyewear with a focus on quality and satisfaction.

You will interpret prescriptions, enter data into the EHR/ALE systems, and educate clients on insurance benefits, warranties, and care. This is a full-time on-siteposition emphasizing accuracy, service, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• State Licensure to practice as an Optician.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MC Office, Windows, and Word Processing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an extraordinary patient experience with tailored eyewear recommendations.
• Receive patient handoff from technicians or doctors and assess visual needs.
• Stay current on products, rebates, lenses, and frame options.
• Enter prescription data into EHR and ALE accurately.
• Explain insurance coverage, coatings, and warranty options to patients.
• Perform eyewear fittings, adjustments, and repairs for comfort and vision.
• Counsel on proper eyeglass and contact lens care and care plans.
• Communicate clearly with team to track order status and next steps.
• Ensure final products meet quality standards and cleanliness.
