Job summary

AEG Vision in Texas, Spring is hiring an Optician to provide eyewear solutions and patient care. You will assist patients in choosing frames, lenses, and coatings, ensuring proper measurements and dispensed products meet prescriptions and lifestyle needs.

You will interpret prescriptions, enter data into the EHR/ALE, communicate with technicians, and deliver an extraordinary patient experience while building trust and loyalty.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• One year of optician experience strongly preferred.
• HIPAA familiarity preferred.
• Proficient PC skills: MS Office.
• Excellent customer service and sales mindset.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Help patients select eyewear that fits prescription and lifestyle.
• Interpret prescriptions and input into EHR/ALE.
• Ensure proper frame fit and lens dispensing with quality service.
• Maintain knowledge of products, warranties, rebates.
• Provide after-sales support and order status updates.
• Collaborate with technicians and management.
