Job summary

The Community Builders is seeking a Service Maintenance Manager in Durham, NC to oversee all physical operations at the community. The role combines hands-on maintenance with leadership, mentoring, and operations management to deliver a high quality living environment for residents.

You will lead a maintenance team, collaborate with vendors, manage preventive maintenance and unit turns, and drive safety and compliance across the site, with a five-day in-office schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-site maintenance/operational management experience.
• Experience coordinating budgets, bids and vendor contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and supervision to maintenance team and vendors.
• Oversee routine/preventive maintenance and unit turns with timely completion.
• Train staff to align with safety policies and procedures.
• Manage budgeting and capital projects with vendors and contractors.
• Ensure readiness for REAC/HQS inspections and audits.
