Job summary

S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. is seeking a Maintenance Manager for our Charlotte, NC community. This on-site leadership role focuses on setting maintenance standards, directing daily operations, and mentoring a maintenance team to uphold safety, cleanliness, and resident comfort.

The ideal candidate will oversee repairs, preventive maintenance, and supplier coordination while ensuring regulatory compliance and resident satisfaction in a fast-paced leasing environment.

Qualifications

• English reading/writing required.
• General mechanical aptitude.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct general maintenance for the property to ensure a clean, safe, and attractive living environment.
• Supervise on-site maintenance, coordinate repairs, and oversee turnover and preventive maintenance work.
• Order supplies, manage inventory, and oversee outside contractors as needed.
• Train subordinate staff and participate in contractor selection and scheduling.
• Issue purchase orders and process invoices; ensure safety with hazardous products.
