Cox Fleet in Irvine, CA is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, light repairs, and diagnostics on trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, manage parts on the company service truck, and document findings on the TRAIT app. Strong safety and DOT compliance are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with related field experience or equivalent.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screening and DOT physical required.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe 3-year MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems and related components.
• Inspect, test, and repair trailer equipment; weld, fabricate when needed.
• Document RO findings via TRAIT app and upload parts used with photos.
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and approvals.
