Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance and light repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on trucks and trailers, road test vehicles, and maintain safe operation of the service truck.

Qualifications include HS diploma/GED and 3 years in related field or 5 years experience; ASE T8 is preferred, with DOT and safety compliance as part of daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED required; 3 years in related field or 5 years experience accepted.
ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months is preferred; FMCSA/DOT requirements apply.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light to heavy vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and other systems on trucks and trailers.
Inspect, test and diagnose using handheld instruments and pressure gauges; road test to verify proper operation.
