Cox Fleet in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You’ll work with varied truck and trailer systems, following safety policies and company procedures.

You will diagnose issues, order parts as needed, and maintain service truck readiness while uploading RO findings and photos using the TRAIT app.

Formación

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years’ related field experience, or equivalent
• ASET8 (PMI) certification within 18 months
• DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical required
• Must be 21+ years old due to interstate operating authority
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR
• Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and safety training

Responsabilidades

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling systems, engine electronics, and transmissions.
• Inspect and service trailers, including brakes, air lines, and liftgates.
• Road test vehicles to confirm repairs and proper operation.
• Maintain parts inventory and manage service truck stock; document RO details via TRAIT app on iOS device.
• Complete all DOT forms and other required documentation timely.
