Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on light to heavy-duty trucks and trailers in a mobile/field environment.

You'll work with a team and have access to a service truck, iOS-based TRAIT app, and opportunities for advanced diagnostic work under supervision. A 1500 USD new hire bonus is offered and day shifts run Thursday through Sunday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience or equivalent.
• ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical as required.
• Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on mobile units.
• Repair electrical, brakes, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and repair trailer components and related systems.
• Diagnose issues using test instruments and road test vehicles.
• Manage parts inventory and document repairs with RO and TRAIT app.
