Job summary

Cox Fleet, a national leader in on-site fleet maintenance, is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician in the Burbank area. You will perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile/field setting, with focus on electrical, braking, and engine systems.

Maintain safety compliance and document work via TRAIT on an iOS device. You’ll manage parts, schedule, and client communication while meeting company safety and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with 3 years’ related experience (or 5 years).
• Possess and provide a set of hand tools to perform duties.
• Aim to obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT-related pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• Valid DOT medical card or eligibility for DOT physical.
• Must be 21+ and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile/field vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose trailer equipment and systems.
• Road test vehicles to confirm repairs and performance.
• Document repairs and RO notes using TRAIT app and iOS device.
• Maintain service truck, tools, and active parts inventory.
