Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive service provider, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to medium repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck systems, document findings, and coordinate with management for approvals.

Ideal candidates have HS diploma or GED with relevant experience, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and must meet DOT-related requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related experience or 5 years' related experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background and DOT physical as required.
• Must be 21+ with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain accurate RO documentation using company devices and TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and schedule daily work independently.
