Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty fleets in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, test and road‑test vehicles, and manage parts on company trucks, while following safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years in related field or 5+ years in related field
• 3+ years of experience with refrigerated equipment
• Must supply a set of hand tools
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory requirements must be satisfied
• DOT medical/dot physical or valid DOT card alternatives as specified
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain DQF

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance
• Manage parts inventory and document work in RO using mobile device
• Follow safety, health and environmental policies including OSHA, EPA, DOT
