Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and both light and heavy‑duty repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems and work directly with clients to meet service needs.

This role requires 3+ years in diesel/heavy equipment, ASE certifications and a valid DOT/driver status. Company truck, iOS app documentation, and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED or higher, 3+ years in related field
• 3+ years experience with refrigerated equipment
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and DOT pre-employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems
• Inspect, test and road test vehicles to verify proper operation
• Document work and upload RO pictures via company app on iOS device
• Obtain parts from vendors and communicate estimates and approvals to management
• Maintain service truck and perform pre-/post-trip inspections
