Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a field environment. Advanced diagnostics and repairs are conducted under supervision of a Senior Technician, with responsibilities including inspection, testing, and documentation of work performed using company devices.

Ideal candidates will have a HS diploma or GED (or higher), 3–5 years of related experience, ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months, and a valid

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED and 3 years related experience; or 5 years experience.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT medical card.
• Minimum age 21 with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, PM inspections, and repairs in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, braking, and engine systems on trucks.
• Inspect, test, and document work; road-test vehicles for proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain service truck; coordinate with management on estimates.
