Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service fleets in a mobile/field setting. You will perform PMs, inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles, including electrical and mechanical diagnostics, while maintaining safety and DOT compliance.

The role requires ASE T8 PMI certification within 18 months, a HS diploma or GED with experience, and a valid driver’s license. Expect a comprehensive benefits package and paid training opportunities.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years related field experience or equivalent
• ASE T8 PMI certification to be obtained within 18 months
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical required
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on light to heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment
• Carry out basic electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs and diagnostics on trucks
• Test and diagnose using handheld devices and pressure gauges; road test vehicles
• Maintain and manage parts inventory and company vehicle pre-/post-trip safety checks
• Document work in TRAIT app, upload RO photos and part details
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and approvals
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
