Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive provides on-site mobile fleet maintenance across the country. The Mobile Diesel Technician Level II performs DOT and PM inspections, light to mid-range repairs, and diagnostics in a field setting, following safety rules and company policies.

The role advances technical skills under supervision. Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma or higher, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid DOT/medical card or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain required.
• Excellent driving record and state license.
• Experience with DOT inspections and mobile fleet service.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and repairs in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/hydraulic/electrical systems on trucks and trailers.
• Test and verify repairs, road test vehicles, and document findings.
