Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile field setting. You will work with a team to diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems while maintaining accurate service documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with related field experience preferred; or 5 years in related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light/medium/heavy vehicles in field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect and test equipment; road-test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Maintain service truck; manage inventory and documentation per company standards.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals on estimates and RO findings.
