Job summary

Cox Fleet By Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PM inspections, light and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, road-test vehicles, and maintain detailed service records using company tools.

The role requires AS E T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months, a valid CDL/DOT eligible status, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service; daily travel with a company

Qualifications

DOT inspections and PM inspections are required.
ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
Valid driver's license and ability to obtain DOT credentials required.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
Test and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation after service.
Maintain accurate Repair Orders and parts inventory on company vehicles and TRAIT app.
Complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely manner.
Manage own daily schedule and coordinate with customers and management.
