Job summary

CoxFleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs and repairs in a mobile/field setting across a nationwide network. The role requires adherence to DOT, EPA and safety policies with diagnostic and mechanical duties.

The candidate should have HS diploma/GED with related experience, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license. Benefits include weekly pay and extensive training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; 3 years related field experience, or 5 years related field experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• DOT medical card validity: bring if available.
• Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Log work and upload RO details using company TRAIT app on iOS.
• Conduct safety checks and complete pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and parts procurement.
