Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II for on-site/mobile fleet support across the USA. You will perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs on varied trucks in field settings, with safety as a priority and independent scheduling.

Training and growth opportunities are provided within a national network. The role requires ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years in a related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical.
• Valid driver’s license and 21+ years old.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain and inventory parts and company vehicle equipment.
• Complete DOT forms and service documentation promptly.
• Interact with customers to assess needs and communicate repair findings.
