Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a field/mobile setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems and complete documentation via a company app.

The role requires a HS diploma and ASE T8 certification within 18 months, plus a valid driver's license. You will work in a dynamic mobile environment, coordinate with support teams, and maintain safety standards while meeting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months is required.
• DOT regulations and FMCSA background checks must be completed.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose, repair, and adjust electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Test equipment, road test vehicles, and document findings with RO entries.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for repairs.
• Maintain safety checks and operate company service truck daily.
