Job summary

CoxFleet, part of Fleet Services by Cox Automotive, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II. The role includes performing DOT inspections, PMs, and light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting, with strict safety and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED and 3 years related field experience (or 5 years alternate).
• Possess hand tools necessary to perform duties.
• ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance and pre-employment background screening.
• DOT medical card or plan to obtain with DOT physical if needed.
• Class CDL C required; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT Inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and follow-up on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions; road test vehicles to confirm repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company-issued service truck and RO documentation.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly.
