Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose and repair light to heavy-duty vehicles, work on electrical and mechanical systems, and maintain service records with the TRAIT app on an iOS device.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, 21+ years old with a valid driver’s license, ASE T8 within 18 months, and tool ownership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required or equivalent experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months of employment.
• DOT background screening and DOT physical required prior to employment.
• Must be 21+ years old and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must supply a set of hand tools and be able to perform required duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on mobile units.
• Diagnose and repair light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in field environment.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems.

Education

High School Diploma/GED

ASE T8 (PMI) certification or equivalent

ASE T3 (Drivetrain) certification

ASE T4 (Brakes) certification

ASE T5 (Suspension) certification

ASE T6 (Electrical and Electronic Systems) certification

ASE T7 (HVAC) certification
