Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing in Saint Francisville, LA. You will handle material control activities for major capital equipment and materials under supervision, coordinating with project teams and the Manager of Material Control.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in capital equipment material control and hands-on site construction experience, with OSHA credentials and ERP system familiarity (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite). Hybrid work model is offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
2–5 years of experience in capital equipment material control preferred.
2+ years on-site experience in large-scale construction environments.
OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate (OSHA 30 preferred).
Experience with Materials Management software and procurement processes (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
Interest in Construction Management or Procurement.

Responsibilities

Develop understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools.
Review Shipment Release Requests and ensure approvals per PO terms and the Material Control Execution Plan.
Advise stakeholders on creating and initiating shipment releases and understanding the shipment authorization process.
Administer MRRs, MIRs and OS&Ds.
Maintain a materials preservation activity register and material control documentation.
