Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings and common areas meet safety and quality standards. The role includes completing work orders, preparing vacant units, inventory control, documentation, grounds upkeep, and cost-efficient repairs.

The position requires EPA refrigerant certifications, state/local licenses, and a valid driver's license. Flexible hours and on-site work are expected at Greystar properties.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certification
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs safely and per code.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Follows procedures to access materials and track inventory, returning unused items and informing supervision about re-orders.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing parts when possible and using tools correctly to avoid waste.

Education

EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certification
