Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform essential maintenance, including completing work orders, preventative maintenance, and safety-focused repairs on property buildings and grounds. You will prepare vacant units, coordinate vendors, and ensure quality workmanship while documenting all service activity.

The role requires adherence to safety standards, inventory management, and occasional travel to assist other properties.

Qualifications

• Essential Responsibilities: completes work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnoses defects, repairs per safety standards.
• Makes-ready process for vacant units, coordinates vendors, completes punch lists.
• Manages materials, tracks inventory, and notifies supervision for reordering.
• Completes documentation to document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds/amenities through cleaning, painting, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts and using tools correctly.

Responsibilities

• Complies with safety policies, attends safety meetings, and reports accidents.
• Inspects contractor work for quality and compliance with standards.
• Assists in routine property inspections and communicates needs to management.
