Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and operate the physical aspects of the property. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, completing work orders, and performing make-ready tasks to ready units for leasing.

The role requires EPA certifications and a valid driver’s license, with on-site responsibilities and a rotating on-call schedule. The position offers robust benefits and opportunities for growth in a large, global real estate company.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing building systems per safety standards.
• Ability to perform make-ready inspections and prepare units for leasing.
• Experience obtaining materials and coordinating with maintenance staff.
• Accurate documentation of service requests for tracking.
• Experience in grounds upkeep and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays on-call.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance per policies and codes.
• Performs make-ready tasks to prepare vacant units for leasing.
• Accesses materials and tracks inventory, notifying re-order needs.
• Completes paperwork timely to document service requests.
• Maintains grounds and common areas; assists with cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing when possible.
