Forward Air Corporation is seeking an Operations Administrator to support fast-paced multimodal terminals in Kenner, LA. The role focuses on front-line inquiries, data entry, and shipment documentation to keep logistics flowing efficiently.

You will greet visitors and drivers, answer calls, and ensure timely, professional interactions with internal teams and logistics partners, while maintaining organized records and supporting scheduling and communications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior administrative or logistics experience helpful but not required; training provided.
• Strong customer service orientation with professional communication.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Comfortable learning logistics systems, shipment tools, and database platforms; AS400 and/or TMS/WMS preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication to explain basic shipment information.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, drivers, and carriers; route calls.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from internal teams, customers, drivers, carriers, and partners.
• Assist with shipment status updates and basic documentation questions.
• Perform accurate data entry for shipments, appointments, and logs.
• Review and support shipment documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with operations and dispatch to support handoffs between admin tasks and logistics activities.
