Gilbane Building is seeking a Lead Superintendent to independently manage all field Commercial Interior operations on a $5-$50M project. The role is on-site daily and pivotal to the project team in New York City.

You will ensure safety, schedule adherence, and coordination with trade contractors while maintaining high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction. Gilbane emphasizes leadership development and collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 7–12 years of experience leading components or whole projects on commercial/industrial construction ($30M+).
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed Training.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction software.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of Gilbane’s trade contractors to meet the approved project schedule.
• Maintains a thorough understanding of contract documents to anticipate problems.
• Establishes credibility among owners, contractors, and partners; enforces safety compliance.
• Leads contractor meetings and manages daily reports; creates and updates schedules and contingencies.
• Trains direct reports on project needs, processes, and business acumen.
• Collaborates with business development to align with sales strategies and client deliverables.
