Job summary

Gilbane Building Company in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Lead Superintendent to independently manage all field operations on a $5-$50M project. This on-site role is a key contributor to the project team.

You will coordinate trade contractors, develop and communicate the work plan, enforce safety, manage the project schedule, maintain daily reports, and collaborate with operations to deliver on time and within budget while upholding Gilbane's values of integrity, caring and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 7–12 years of experience leading a component of work or whole project $30M+ in value on commercial/industrial sites.
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed training.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade contractors to meet the project schedule.
• Develops, documents, and communicates field work plans and changes.
• Keeps a thorough understanding of contract documents to anticipate problems.
• Obtains required permits for construction work.
• Leads contractor meetings and manages daily reports and schedules.
• Ensures safety compliance and enforces safety plans.
